funding is available from AHS (Alberta Health Services) Palliative and End of Life Care (PEOLC) Program to help clients with a progressive, life-limiting illness who live in rural Calgary Zone (outside Calgary city limits) stay at home longer.
this funding is used to pay for services when those from other sources, including AHS Home Care, aren’t enough to meet the client’s needs. the Rural Palliative Care Consult Team (RPCCT) and/or the AHS Home Care Case Manager have decided this client needs more care to be able to stay at home and have approved payment for this care through Rural Care In-Home Funding.
