Better Homecare asked us if we might consider sending in a few words about the care they provided my mother and our family during my mother’s passing. My mom’s brain cancer diagnosis was a complete shock. She was given only 6-months by the doctors, and our entire family rallied around her to support and spend as much time with her as possible. Although we were pretty hesitant and unsure how having strangers in our house would work, the caseworker, homecare company, and the caregivers themselves couldn’t have been more understanding and helpful. Even with my dad, brother and I spending as much time with mom as we could, we required additional care support, especially as her condition worsened.

Our AHS caseworker helped us arrange government programming and funds for homecare and we selected Better Homecare from the Blue Cross website. Their services were invaluable, allowing my mom to remain at home during all the radiation and chemo therapy, right until her passing.
